At least the gaudy OCs will be shaped properly now.

I like the shape of the ponies, and the generally clean look of them. I wish we could have that and the fun freedom of the unofficial one... together.

I'd rather use the DeviantArt ones.

I'd rather use this one. I mean... The DeviantArt one isn't horribly off anatomically, but it's off just enough to give the OC's made there a bleak, soulless look.

So I made my ponysona using this program just to see what it would look like...

She looks amazing, honestly. I tweaked her appearance a bit and I'm really pleased with how she looks. I created my ponysona as a younger me. It's time for her to have a more mature look anyways, just like I now have one.

Out of curiosity does this one allow custom cutie marks or does it have pre-set cutie marks?

It only allows you to use one of the preset cutie marks, but there's 77 to choose from and anyone who cared enough to make their own could easily add it in photoshop or even MS paint.

pshhh.

Everyone knows the professionals use GIMP and utilize the rarely-known, age-old Tibetan Monk technique known as the smudge tool to make their Cutie Marks.

I tried it out a little.

Sorry but I just like the DeviantArt ones better. I really don't see what's so horrible about the DeviantArt ones anyway.

The nice thing about the hub one is that it is way more user friendly.  Its not as powerful, but it is much faster to create a decent pony.

For instance, this one was so easy to use, that I had a blast creating pony OCs with some young kids.
