Now I'm sure I'm not the only one on here who's into guns and hunting and military tech and all that. So I figured, why not have a thread to share some cooler ones?

This thread is for Firearms, Bows and Arrows, firearms accessories, cool little innovations in the industry, or even outdoor equipment. Feel free to show off additions from a personal collection or the collection of someone you know. Please try to keep any political aspects out of it. We're just here to show off some cool toys.

I'll start it off with a couple pics from my collection

A couple years back with my dad's AR-15

I like laser guns a whole bunch. But in all seriousness, if I were to state my favorite firearm, it'd be the P90 or a Browning Hi-Power.

My uncle has a Browning Hi-Power. Absolutely phenomenal. P90s are nice but take some getting used to since they're so compact. But the 5.7x28mm round it uses packs a wallop. Mags are kinda cool too.

I'm completely biased in my preferences. I have no real knowledge on either of the weapons' effectiveness, I just think the P90 is hilarious and the Browning is pretty.

Haha. Well both those statements are true. P90s look like whales to me.

Fired 4 handguns in my time.

Glock: Easy to handle, but the empty shells kept flicking into my face.

1911: Also pretty easy to handle and quite accurate. Felt the urge to dress up like it's the 50's and fight crime on the streets of L.A.

.375 Magnum: Hate. Hard to use and the blow back was infuriating.

.45 Magnum: Hate.

I like me a good Glock. Glock 19s are wonderful. The only gun that sends brass into my face is a tommy gun. 1911s are amazing. Good guns to learn gunsmithing on. I actually like .357s. I shot a python which isn't too bad of recoil, but I know there's some with bad recoil. The handgun we keep around here is a Bersa Thunder .45. Has a bit more recoil than a 1911. If I saw on the news that you did go fight crime with a 1911, I will be president of your fan club

I like laser guns a whole bunch.

Right now the only genuine "weapons" built from lasers are operating in the terra-watt range and are mounted on nuclear-powered battleships and I think on 1 aircraft... but hey THEY ARE LASER WEAPONS! REAL LASER WEAPONS!

Otherwise I have a crossbow, measly 50lbs draw-strength but it's fun and good for exercise.

Dont own but want a Tarus Raging Bull Casull .454 - one of the most powerful handguns ("hand cannons") on the market. Even if I'm likely to just mount it in a case over the mantle since firing it would probably break both of my wrists T_T

Random: Prefer Revolvers to Clip-load because they tend to jam less, though even with speed-loaders they're a lot slower when you run out of bullets.

Oh man. Those Raging Bulls are awesome. My uncle has one. Brings it camping. Never got to shoot it though. I like revolvers too though. I'd rather carry a magazine fed pistol, but revolvers have a certain cool factor to em.

If I was sport shooting, I wouldn't care and clips/magazines (Spring-fed) are more conveniant, but if I want something to save my Butt when somone's trying to kill me, I want a revolver because they do NOT jam. (Or a shotgun, those are also a good choice for self-defence...)

And yeah, a handgun powerful enough to take down an African elephant is just jaw-dropping awesome. :) --- also doesnt hurt that it's one of the guns that Alucard uses in Helsing (where I first learned about it) </nerd>

Cz-75s are pretty good for sport shooting. But that's the reason a lot of people take revolvers. Though I've never gotten a Glock to jam either. The gun I practiced with when I got my carry and conceal certificate was a Glock 19. I like those a lot more than a lot of other handguns I've shot. And I don't think any other gun could work for a vimpire death machine.

Weeeellllll it looks like it's my turn to show off my fangirl-ness for all things that go boom! So where shall we start...

This is my Winchester Sawwed off single shot. Got it in rough shape for 80 bucks at a gunshow, sawwed the barrel down to 18 1/4 inches, and gave it a combat paintjob, really just use this for testing my wax slugs.

IMG_20130508_221354_640_zpsc9744b1c.jpg

This is my pride and joy. It's an Arsenal AK-74 with real Russian chrome lined muzzle break and real Russian Plum stock kit. 100% milspec chrome lined barrel, chrome lined piston, stainless steel gas tube, and made in the motherland...I won't tell you how much it cost, but it was as much as an AR-15 and it's all mine!

IMG_20130330_054712_085_zps81614258.jpg

My newest little toy and my new carry gun, a brand new, never fired(before I got it) Bulgarian Circle 10 Makarov PM. Beautiful gun, chambers a 9mm Makarov round, and the funnest pistol I've ever shot. With my Russian Officer cigarette case below it...lol

IMG_20130326_182110_648_zps2dd56d4c.jpg

And my car gun. This is a Sig Sauer P250 chambered in .45 ACP. its a Double Action only pistol which makes it a great carry gun, already fitted with tritium night sights, I keep 2 10 round mags loaded with Hornady Zombie Max ammo and it keeps me safe at night. Lol

6cc26a4e-45bc-4463-97d1-7442ffd8123f_zps

And last one i have an individual picture of is my current carry pistol. A Ruger P95DC in 9mm Parabellum. I use this for my CCW with just a standard paddle holster Serpa and a 15 round magazine, I have the spare 10 round you see there. The tape on the handle says "Loaded" since it normally is and I don't want people playing with it.

IMG_20130625_234942_276_zps6e1b76f7.jpg

And lastly the rest of the family. From right to left: A Remington 870 express 12 gauge I have yet to tacticool (Its getting a breaching barrel and magpul stock kit here soon). My Mossburg 702 plinkster .22 LR that I have shooting sub MOA patterns at 100 yards. My 1940 Tula Mosin-Nagant M91/30 with brass fittings, one of my favorite rifles of all time! and my Winchester sawwed off before it got a coat of paint (The tape is to keep the handguard on with recoil. You pull the handguard off to remove the barrel, and the spring wore out over time, so it falls right off.)

And making a second post for the rest of my hoard (Ammo, PC's, and blades (not all of them, it would take 15 pages to post them all)

onto blades! This is my current and ever growing Tomahawk collection. These are from top to bottom: SOG Fusionhawk, SOG Fasthawk, United Cutlery M48 Tactical Tomahawk. And yes I am able to throw them and stick them at 40ft.

DSCF8274.jpg

Now onto random other slightly related stuff.

My Civil Defense Geiger counter. This is the 1990's model Surveying Counter.

IMG_20130331_020521_403_zpsa9c634f4.jpg

A picture of it's reading next to my Uranium ore....

IMG_20130402_144544_497_zps051953de.jpg

My bottle of Thermite and magnesium strip for lighting it.

photobucket-6159-1358972936850.jpg

My pattern with my .22 at 100 yards. Yes that is just a .22 long rifle and those are the rounds next to it. Shot this at a NRA competition, took first in my bracket. (PS, that is 10 shots)

DSCF8281.jpg

and just for fun. My potato field gun. Still needs wheels and paint...shoots great though!

Vixen, the amount of manliness in your reply seems to have short circuited my electronics... Seriously. Beautiful collection you've got there.

these are beautiful! I've found one in a gun shop. Old revolvers are best revolvers. Nothing beats an old six shooter! :3
